Last week Jozlynn graduated from St Teresa's Kindergarten! What an exciting day/year she has had! It is simply amazing how much she has grown and learned the past 9 months. Last weekend the WPCC girls basketball team made it to State for the 12th Straight Year! This year was extra exciting cuz my Niece Bradee who's a Freshman and my Cousin Whitney who is a Senior both played on the team. We were all so excited to go and cheer them on for the Big Game! To make it Extra Special Auntie Amber made some really cool shirts for Jozy, Brenna and Brendan to wear! Great Season Girls! We enjoyed all the games all year long. Can't wait for Next Year! Valentines 2009 was a fun one at the Wiechman house. We decided to have a party of our own, with 4 guests attending. First we had Dinner. John and I dined on our favorite Shrimp Pasta Dish while the girls had their favorite, CornDogs! The perfectly set table included candles and 4 Champagne flutes, 2 with water and 2 with wine. Jozy and Jerzey were all about doing "Cheers." After Dinner we opened up gifts. Jozy was sooo excited to get her 1st Webkinz ever and Jerzey just loved her new Playdough set:) Then it was time to play with that new playdough! After playing with the dough for awhile the Wii Bowling and Tennis Tournament began. I won't mention the winner, since it wasn't me:( After the tournament John and I took our seats cuz the real entertainment was about to begin. Jozlynn then performed the dance she had been working on all day long, "The Love Whale!" After Jozy's dance it was Jerzey's turn, so she then entertained us with "The Shark of the Sea!" After all that dancing and playing it was dessert time. We then finished off the party with Apple Pie and IceCream. Here's a few fun pictures from our Special Night. Enjoy!

We have had some very busy days the past week...

Last Tuesday I and the girls enjoyed our last 2008 visit to the zoo. We spent many hours there this year and the girls already can't wait to go back in 2009!

Then on Thursday Amber came to visit us. After reading tons of books and being crazy on Friday morning we headed to the park where we had a picnic lunch with Amber. Then we played and played on the huge jungle gym.

Then on Saturday morning all the Schlecht family members came to town for family picture time. The girls were so excited to have their cousins at their house. We had a slumber party for 13, and the fun didn't stop for any of us till about midnight:)

And then all of these rainy days, nothing better than playing outside with umbrellas on these days:(

Well I guess we would all say that summer is probably officially over:( We had a great summer full of fun stuff, as sad as we are about summer ending we are super excited for fall time! We have been pretty busy getting into a morning routine now that we have a schoolager! Jozlynn is loving school and Jerzey is always quick to grab her backpack too each and every morning before we run out the door. Jozlynn started a ballet and tap class on Mondays, she is enjoying every minute of that. The girls are also loving putting on their Husker Gear each Saturday. Hope all is well with you.

Today was Jozlynn's 1st day of Kindergarten at St. Teresa Catholic School. She was so excited to meet all of her new friends as well as her new teacher.
Jozlynn will have school on Mondays, Wednesdays and on every other Friday. In her class there are 10 girls along with 5 boys.
Last night and this morning she kept telling me that she was just a little scared, but i think those feelings left pretty quick when we arrived to school as she had no trouble waving good-bye to us!
We are all so excited to see what this 1st year of school brings:)

Last Sunday, June 15 Jozy turned 5 Years Old! We celebrated in West Point at the Park with a Big Birthday Bash! Also celebrating was her cousin Reese who turned 5 the very next day! WOW, what an Awesome Day! We spent all day Sunday enjoying the nice weather. We started the day off bright and early planting flowers, both Jozy and Jerzey were such great helpers!!! Then later in the day we headed to the "Beach" aka Holmes Lake. The girls and daddy too, really enjoyed playing in the sand and walking in the water. What a fun time we had.

We are totally ready for summertime - Swimming, Flowers, SunDresses, Walks, Trips to the Zoo, Weddings, T-Ball, Baseball/Softball Games, Late Summer Nights.
We Can't Wait!

Jozlynn has been keeping herself busy as usual. She is loving the nice days that we have been having and all of our busy weekend trips to WP. Recently she had her Kindergarten physical and upon leaving the appt she was very happy to hear that there will be no more shots till she is in the 7th grade:) The Doctor's office gave her a shirt that says "Future Graduate of the Class of 2021", now is that scary, or what?!?!?!

Jerzey also loves being outside. She loves to swing with her Big Sister Jozy and loves gettin dirty in the sandbox:) I do believe she has hit the "Terrible 2's" a little early. She can be quite naughty at times, but, you can't help but just smile at the little cutie:) Jerzey is a very polite 21 month old, as you often hear the words "Pease" and "TankYou" from her, she is also quick to say "Bess You" not only when someone sneezes, but also when one coughs or yawns! She's Funny!

30 Ain't So Bad!!!

A New Update, Finally!!!

Hello. We hope everyone had a fantastic Easter! Easter for us was a great time! Both girls just loved hunting Easter Eggs but more importantly loved the Candy that came along with it! We would have liked a little warmer weather, but hopefully soon it will come and stay!
We've been pretty busy just doing the normal everyday stuff.
Jerzey is now 20 months old and is busier than ever! She loves Toddler Time at the Library as she just loves singing and dancing to "If You're Happy & You Know It!" Jerzey has come to be a real stickler on always making sure her toes are Squeaky Clean, it's quite funny and cute too!
Jozy also loves Library time and has enjoyed the nice couple of days we have had the last couple of weeks! She has been leaving corn out for the squirrels and gets the biggest kick out of watching them come to the deck to eat it all up! Jozy flew her kite last week for the 1st time on her own. She did an Awesome Job! Until she lost it and the whole thing went flying, her dad tried to save it, but unfortunately the kite ended up in some trees a couple of blocks down the street! Ooooopppps:)

Well Deserved!!!

On Sunday night my dad received the "2008 West Point Young Contributor Award." It is an award given to someone each year from the community who has shown much community involvement and volunteerism. Many different people are nominated for the award and a select committee picks the recipient. My dad was chosen for the award due to his active involvement on various boards throughout the years, his endless amount of hours put into caretaking the Ball Diamond, and most importantly for his active role in the life of the youth in WP. Straight out of HS he became an assistant baseball coach and 37 years later he his still coaching!

Receiving the award to my dad was a total shock! There were even tears! We all knew that he would be getting it and therefore we were all there at the banquet w/ him when the award was presented to him. It was so hard for all of us to keep it a secret from him and all of you, but we did it and it was so exciting when all finally heard the news.

We are so very proud of you dad. We've been there w/ you thru it all and we will continue to be there w/ you thru the next 37 years. Baseball it's our Life!

So well deserved, Congrats!!!!

Hello All... Not much new going on at our house? How about at yours?

Last week Jozy had her "School" Christmas Program, it was very entertaining as it always is:) Jozy did such a good job and was so excited to have her mommy, daddy, Grandma Lou Ann and Grandpa Bob there to see her and her friends sing their songs. Last Sunday we went to Omaha, the girls stayed w/ Reese and Trey and a babysitter while John and I went to the dog races with my family for my mom and dad's Anniversary, we had a lot of fun! And no we didn't win big:(

Other than that we haven't been up to much. The girls and I have been going to story hour on Tuesday mornings at the Library. Jozlynn attends Preschool story hour from 10:30 till 11:00 while Jerzey and I go to Toddler time from 10:35 till 10:55. Toddler time is a bunch of parents w/ their kids singing and dancing around, it's a lot of fun. Both of the girls love our visits to the library; Jozy was so excited to get her very own library card and just loves bringing home 5 or 6 books each week!

This weekend we are off to WP. Jozy is so excited as she says we haven't been there forever! Hope you all have a good weekend.

Just the other day, I and the girls were driving thru town when Jozlynn noticed the "Lincoln" DairyQueen. She said that we should go there sometime to get Ice Cream Sundaes, cuz those would be sooo yummy. I responded with yah someday we should do that and then she said "Now mommy, can you only get IceCream "Sundaes" on "Sundays" or can you get them any day?!?!?! Oh I tell you sometimes the things she can come up with are just simply amazing.

We were busy this past week with doctor appointments. On Thursday Jerzey had a check up with her Cardiologist at St E's. As many of you know Jerzey has "Mild Pulmonary Valve Stenosis", she sat like such a Big Girl during the EKG and while they listened to her heart. We are happy to report that it is still considered "Mild" and they are hoping that as she continues to grow all will continue to stay the same. This is something that will never go away, but hopefully won't require any procedures either as long as it stays in the "Mild" range. Her next check up with them will be when she is 3:)

Then on Friday we went to her 18mth check with Dr Russell. She is now weighing in at 24lbs 3oz and doing just great! In recent weeks her vocabulary has really began to expand and communicating with her is so much fun as she is able to tell us more and more each day what she really wants and how she really feels, she really is such a big girl! Her 2 favorite words without a doubt though, are "mommy" and "blankie" each can be heard at least a thousand times each day!!!

We also talked with Dr Russell about Jozy's Kindergarten Physical which will be sometime this spring. Can you even believe that next year Jozy will be in real school:)

We are all really getting anxious for all this snow to go away. But while we have been cooped up inside Jozy has been really busy coloring sooo many pictures. So if you randomly get an envelope from her in the mail you know why. Oh yah theres also been a couple of times where Jerzey has decided to join in on the coloring fun, except she colored all over her face with marker!

This past weekend on Friday night I and Amber went to the movie "27 Dresses", a definite chick flick that both of us really enjoyed:) Then on Saturday night John and I went out to the Red Fox with some friends. The girls stayed at home with Grandma Donna and Grandpa Bruce, we had a great time as did the girls!

Now we are getting ready for another fun week. This Thursday night is Jozy's school Christmas Program, that's always a good time, so be sure to check back over next weekend for some pictures.....

What Christmas is All About

Every night before Jozy goes to bed, it is storytime. John usually gets by with reading her a book or 2, but i on the other hand have to tell her a makeup story. She usually gives me an idea on what she wants the story to be about, and then i have to use my imagination for the rest:) The other night Jozy wanted her makeup story to be about a little birdie named Chirpie who didn't know about Christmas. Being creative as I could i talked about Chirpie going to School one day where his friends and his teacher each took a turn to tell him about Christmas. They talked about all the normal things, like Jesus, the stable and the manger, Mary and Joseph, Santa, Presents, Spending time w/ family and etc. Jozy loved the story and had smiles all the way thru. The next morning as I was getting her ready for School she said, "Mommy, Christmas is really all about Giving to Others." Wow i couldn't believe it, I was like now if only i could get her to remember that the next time we go to the store when she is begging for anything and everything in sight.

But seriously she is right, Christmas is really all about giving to others and being thankful for all that one has. We have soo much to be thankful for not only this Christmas season but each and every day. We have the best family and friends and we thank you all for that. We hope that this Christmas season you remember what Christmas is all about and that you enjoy every minute of the time you have with all of your loved ones, as we will:)

I think that one of the most stressful times in a Mother's life has to be Picture Time. I mean the outfits, the hair, the smiles, to just sitting still, we are stressing about it all and we really can only do so much! We actually enjoyed a family picture shoot last Friday. I must say that it went pretty well as we got some pretty cute ones but most importantly it's just finally over! John already can't wait till next year:) Ha Ha! Hope you all have a great week!

Fun Fall Day

Happy Friday. Well there is nothing better than a Fun Fall Day. And that is just what we had on this last Tuesday. It gave us a chance to do some yard work and play in the leaves. And yes i even helped out with the mowing, there is always a 1st and Last for everything:) Jozy and Jerzey both enjoyed jumping in the leaves and helping daddy rake them up. This weekend it's time to get out the Christmas tree, that seems crazy, doesn't it! Have a Good One!

Since the time I was a little girl i have always loved the movie Annie so of course i have gotten Jozy hooked on it to. So Tuesday night Jozlynn, I, and Amber went to "Annie" at the Lied Center. Amber was the most excited out of all of us! We had an Awesome time. Jozy was truly amazed thru it all. Of course it wasn't exactly like the movie and during those times Jozy would whisper "I don't know this part, it must be new!" She ended up falling asleep during the 2nd half as it was getting a little late, but at the end I woke her up so she could clap and see Annie take her final bow. As Jozlynn clapped one last time she looked at me and gave me one huge smile and then pretty much put her head back down and went back to sleep. That smile however is all i needed to see, as it said it all :)

Busy Week

Hello All.... I know i have sooo been slacking, but it's been a busy week:) Anyways we had a great Halloween this year and we have 2 big bowls full of candy to show for it!

We started the festivities off on Friday night at Boo at the Zoo. We took our cousin Halle with us and all had a great time...

On Saturday we went to the WP Pizza Hut for a party. Jozy and Brenna had soo much fun doing crafts while Jerzey tore the place apart:)

Sunday John and Jozy carved new pumpkins since our others were stolen last week:(

Tuesday morning we went to Jozy's school, Kid's First, for their Harvest Party. Jozy had fun parading around with her friends and decorating cookies...

Tuesday night our friends came over for picture and play time. It wasn't the easiest but i think we did manage to get one pretty good one of the little ones all together.... After picture time they had a great time playing together and taking toys away from eachother:)

Then finally Wednesday, we went trick or treating all around the neighborhood...

Jozy said several times this past week "This is the Best Halloween Ever", she already can't wait till next year...

Yay, it's finally Friday! And of course we have a pretty busy weekend planned. Last night Halle Claussen spent the night with Jozy so she is spending all day w/ us today and then tonight she is joining us on our trip to "Boo at the Zoo" should be fun:) After that we plan to head to WP. Tomorrow John will be getting up bright and early to go Pheasant hunting while I and the girls plan to attend a Halloween party at the WP Pizza Hut. Then Sunday we will head back home as we are gettting together with friends Sunday night to take pictures of all the little one's all dressed up in their costumes, that should be interesting! Other than the busy weekend we did make a trip to the Doctor's office yesterday as Jerzey has a sinus infection:( She has been not so much herself the last few days, but I am happy to say today she is acting much better:) Hope you all have a Great Weekend!

Last night John and I attended the Lincoln Public School Board meeting to learn the fate of the Elementary school across the street from us... After listening to numerous people plea to the board to keep their school open the board voted to unfortunately close the school after this school year.... It is a huge bummer to all, but the building will be re-purposed in the future but nothing yet for sure what it will be reused for...
Like any change it's tough, but we are hoping for the best!

On a happier note we did make it to the Pumpkin Patch yesterday! We had a great time, check back in a couple days for all the fun pictures:)

So this past weekend I went to Mall of America with my friends Gina, Lea, and Gwen.... We had such a Blast! It was all about Shopping, Talking, Eating, Drinking, and Lots of Laughing.... Oh yah and we decided that it would be really cool to jump the fence at 2:30am to break into the Hotel HotTub, it was only a matter of seconds till the Security Guard caught us, but we were able to talk him in to feeling sorry for us and giving us about 20 minutes in the Tub, as our feet so needed to be soaked after a long hard day of shopping at the mall.... Thanks girls for the Great Weekend...
Next time it's Chicago, can't wait:)

Daddy Home with His 2 Girls

So while mom was away with the Girls, Daddy was at home with his 2 Girls.... On Saturday they made a quick trip to Sunset Farms here in Lincoln.... Looks like they had a great time!

Tuesday Afternoon we will be off to the Big Pumpkin Patch, Valla's. Let's hope for a nice sunny fall day!

15 Months

Today was Jerzey's 15 month check up.... Wow, have things changed in the last 15 months.... She is no longer our little baby anymore as she has really turned into a little girl.... You can usually find her roaming the house with Jozy's crocks and one of mommy's purses... Yah i think she has a fettish for both... She is always quick to grab the telephone or the remote when daddy isn't looking.... But the sweetest thing yet is watching her play with her "Boby." Here are a few recent photos of our 15 month little girl...
