What Christmas is All About

Every night before Jozy goes to bed, it is storytime. John usually gets by with reading her a book or 2, but i on the other hand have to tell her a makeup story. She usually gives me an idea on what she wants the story to be about, and then i have to use my imagination for the rest:) The other night Jozy wanted her makeup story to be about a little birdie named Chirpie who didn't know about Christmas. Being creative as I could i talked about Chirpie going to School one day where his friends and his teacher each took a turn to tell him about Christmas. They talked about all the normal things, like Jesus, the stable and the manger, Mary and Joseph, Santa, Presents, Spending time w/ family and etc. Jozy loved the story and had smiles all the way thru. The next morning as I was getting her ready for School she said, "Mommy, Christmas is really all about Giving to Others." Wow i couldn't believe it, I was like now if only i could get her to remember that the next time we go to the store when she is begging for anything and everything in sight.

But seriously she is right, Christmas is really all about giving to others and being thankful for all that one has. We have soo much to be thankful for not only this Christmas season but each and every day. We have the best family and friends and we thank you all for that. We hope that this Christmas season you remember what Christmas is all about and that you enjoy every minute of the time you have with all of your loved ones, as we will:)

2007 Christmas Picture Time

I think that one of the most stressful times in a Mother's life has to be Picture Time. I mean the outfits, the hair, the smiles, to just sitting still, we are stressing about it all and we really can only do so much! We actually enjoyed a family picture shoot last Friday. I must say that it went pretty well as we got some pretty cute ones but most importantly it's just finally over! John already can't wait till next year:) Ha Ha! Hope you all have a great week!

Fun Fall Day

Happy Friday. Well there is nothing better than a Fun Fall Day. And that is just what we had on this last Tuesday. It gave us a chance to do some yard work and play in the leaves. And yes i even helped out with the mowing, there is always a 1st and Last for everything:) Jozy and Jerzey both enjoyed jumping in the leaves and helping daddy rake them up. This weekend it's time to get out the Christmas tree, that seems crazy, doesn't it! Have a Good One!

Annie

Since the time I was a little girl i have always loved the movie Annie so of course i have gotten Jozy hooked on it to. So Tuesday night Jozlynn, I, and Amber went to "Annie" at the Lied Center. Amber was the most excited out of all of us! We had an Awesome time. Jozy was truly amazed thru it all. Of course it wasn't exactly like the movie and during those times Jozy would whisper "I don't know this part, it must be new!" She ended up falling asleep during the 2nd half as it was getting a little late, but at the end I woke her up so she could clap and see Annie take her final bow. As Jozlynn clapped one last time she looked at me and gave me one huge smile and then pretty much put her head back down and went back to sleep. That smile however is all i needed to see, as it said it all :)
